The process

Buying a live animal is a conversation, not a checkout

There is no cart on this site, and that is deliberate. A snake is a fifteen-to-thirty year commitment that has to survive a night in a box. Here is exactly what happens between a listing and a delivery.

  1. 01

    Find the animal

Filter by size, looks, demeanor, care level and price. Save candidates to your watchlist — it lives in your browser, no account required.

  2. 02

    Send an inquiry

Tell the breeder what you keep, what the enclosure looks like, and when you want the animal shipped. Inquiries go straight to them, not to a support queue.

  3. 03

    Talk it through

Breeders answer with current photos, a weight, and a feed log. Expect questions back — the good ones screen buyers, especially on large species.

  4. 04

    Pay the breeder directly

Deposit and balance are settled between you and the breeder. Nothing on this marketplace touches your card, and no listing is held without a deposit.

  5. 05

    Ship or collect

Overnight courier in an insulated box with a heat or cold pack matched to the forecast at both ends. Shipping is held when either end sits outside 40–90°F.

House rules

Captive-bred only

No wild-caught imports. Every listing carries a hatch date, a feeding record and the name of the person who produced it.

Know your local law

Several species here are restricted or prohibited in some states, counties and cities — large constrictors especially. That check is yours to make before you inquire.

Live arrival guaranteed

Every breeder listing here guarantees live arrival when someone is present to receive the box on the first delivery attempt.

No impulse giants

Expert-level species get sold slowly and on purpose. If a breeder asks about your enclosure before your money, that is the system working.

Ready to look?

Start with the beginner filter if this is your first snake. Nobody regrets it.

Questions about a specific animal go to its breeder — open the listing and use the inquiry form. Browse the breeder directory to see who is behind each one.
